You are listening to FerventWord, an online Bible study ministry with teachings and tools to help you grow deeper in your relationship with God. The following message was taught by Jerry Simmons in 2008. Here in verse 1 of chapter 34 of Isaiah, we have a call for all nations to take heed, to hear, to pay attention, and to listen.

Now, throughout Isaiah, we've been looking at lots of different types of messages and prophecies that God has been bringing forth through this prophet, through this man, Isaiah. For the past several weeks, we've been looking at messages that were given primarily to the nation of Judah, the southern kingdom of Israel there. God was speaking to them about the coming judgment. He was speaking to them and telling them, calling them to repentance.

He was also telling them, though, promising that Assyria, this nation that was coming down and attacking all the surrounding areas, he was promising that Assyria would not overcome Judah, but would not be successful in their attacks and that God would defend them.

But now as we go into chapter 34, and we'll be looking at 34 and 35 tonight, now as we look at 34, God is shifting his attention. He's shifting the focus. And instead of just looking at the nation of Judah, now he's talking to all nations. We're talking to the whole earth now. God is calling the whole earth to pay attention, to listen up, to take heed to the things he is about to say. So let's listen up.

And in a lot of ways, there's lots of nations that have been gathered together here this evening. We come from lots of different backgrounds. And so let's listen up. Let's pay attention to what God is saying. And let's read on from verses two to four. He says,

And His fury is against all their armies. He has utterly destroyed them. He has given them over to the slaughter. Also their slain shall be thrown out. Their stench shall arise from their corpses, and the mountains shall be melted with their blood. All the hosts of heaven shall be dissolved, and the heavens shall be rolled up like a scroll.

all their hosts shall fall down as the leaf falls from the vine, as their fruit falling from a fig tree. Here in verses 2-4, really verses 1-4, Isaiah is saying to all the nations, hey, come here, listen up, gather around, come on, because the indignation of the Lord is against all nations. The message is to all nations. The proclamation is to all nations to listen up, to take heed, to hear God.

And the message that is brought forth to all nations is that God's indignation, God's wrath, God's anger and His fury is against all nations. As He calls all the nations together, He wants them to know God's anger is against you. The wrath of God is against all nations. He goes on to say He has utterly destroyed them and has given them over to the slaughter.

And so we see here a pronouncement of great judgment, of great destruction upon all nations. We're talking about God's judgment on the entire world. And so looking at this prophecy, we're looking at things that are yet to come. Looking towards the tribulation period when the wrath of God will be poured out upon the earth.

But here's something interesting that I find in verse 1 of Isaiah chapter 34, and that is that as God is getting ready, He's going to pour out His wrath and indignation upon the earth, He takes time to bring that message to all nations. God is warning in advance about the judgment before He brings it.

Now, some people have trouble with the judgment of God. Some people have trouble with the wrath of God. But because God is holy and just, it is right for Him to have indignation, to have righteous indignation when His laws are violated.

When he is rebelled against, the righteous judgment of God is right and just. It's appropriate. It's what is necessary. And it's not that God enjoys judgment. It's not that God enjoys wrath. It's not that He looks forward to the time that He will be able to bring this destruction. No, instead, He delays that judgment, giving space, giving time for people to come to repentance. See, if God enjoyed judgment...

If it was something he delighted in and kind of got his kicks out of, it wouldn't be something that he would warn about ahead of time. If he enjoyed judgment, he wouldn't tell you ahead of time, hey, I'm breaking judgment, because the reason he tells you ahead of time is so that you would be able to repent, so that you'd be able to turn. You remember when Jonah was sent to Nineveh, the message that Jonah was sent with was, hey, in 40 days, Nineveh is going to be destroyed.

Now you know at the end of the story, Jonah was upset. Why was Jonah upset? Well, because when he pronounced that judgment, when he made that proclamation, the city of Nineveh, from the king all the way to the youngest, repented and turned from their sin and stopped their wickedness and humbled themselves before God. And so God had mercy and grace upon him. He sent them the message of judgment,

So that they would have an opportunity to repent, to turn, to stop living that way and to stop rebelling against God. In the same way, God is proclaiming to all nations, to the whole earth, judgment is coming. The wrath of God is stirred up against all nations. His fury against all their armies. They're going to be utterly destroyed and given over to the slaughter. Why is he giving this message? Not because he delights in judgment.

not because he wants repentance. 2 Peter 3:9 tells us that God is not slow in keeping His promises. We've been looking for many years now towards the return of Jesus Christ. We're looking still for His return, for the rapture of the church to be caught up together with Him. But there's some who say, "Hey, all things continue on." Everybody, they've been saying Jesus is going to come back for hundreds of years, thousands of years.

All things continue now as they always have. He's not coming back, is the attitude. But Peter warns us, well, God's not slow in keeping his promises. He's going to keep his promise. But he's patient, Peter says in 2 Peter 3.9. Not wanting any to perish, but that all should come to repentance. God is patient. He's delaying judgment, not...

Well, he's delaying judgment because he doesn't enjoy it. He doesn't get excited about it. He's delaying judgment so that people would come to repentance. Also in Ezekiel 33, verse 11,

God makes the pronouncement, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his way and live. And so he called that to Israel there in Ezekiel 33, 11. He says, turn, turn from your evil ways, for why should you die, O house of Israel? God does not pleasure, take pleasure in judgment, in the death of the wicked. He doesn't do it gleefully. It's not something he does joyfully. It's something he does joyfully.

Because he is a righteous and holy God, his character, his nature demands righteous judgment. But he delays. There's been a lot of interruptions. So we need this pause for a second. A lot of interruptions. What does that mean? That means God wants to work and Satan wants to distract. And so please be unfair. Ask God to work receiving in your heart. Because if Satan is going to distract, that means God wants to work. And I want to be open to what God wants to do.

So God is not anxious to judge. He's not anxious to bring judgment. He's anxious for people to repent. He's anxious for people to get right with God, that He might show mercy and grace. But there is a judgment that's coming. Although He is patient, there will be a time when His judgment, His wrath will come. It's not going to last forever. You cannot continue to rebel against God forever. There will come a point, not that God's patience lends out,

But his time in delaying for you to repent, run out. And you will experience the judgment of God, the wrath of God for rebelling against him. In the same way, this world, God is giving the world time to repent, space to repent. But there will come a time when the time has run out.

when the judgment will not be delayed any longer and the wrath of God will be put out upon the earth. And so that's what he's describing here. In verse 3 he says, Their slings shall be thrown out, their stents shall rise from their corpses, and the mountain shall be melted with their blood. There's going to be a great slaughter. Many people are going to die as a result of the judgment of God, as a result of His righteous indignation being poured out upon the earth. And when is that going to take place?

What's going to happen during the tribulation period? It's going to be trouble like this world has never seen. It's going to be the worst things that even worse than we can even imagine. The book of Revelation talks in great detail about

about the events of the tribulation period and the trouble and the burden that will be brought upon the earth. And it's devastating and it's dreadful to read about and to consider all of the destruction that will take place. In Revelation chapter 6, it's amazing to me, verses 12 through 17 are very close to what we're looking at here in verses 1 through 4 of Isaiah 34. There in Revelation chapter 6,

Verse 15, God pronounces that His judgment and His wrath is going to be upon all nations, all teams, the commanders of armies, the peasants, the poor, the rich, the slaves, the masters, every human being, every person, every nation, every human being on the face of the earth will experience the judgment of God during that time. Verse 17 of Revelation chapter 6 tells us that it's His wrath

As people are seeking to hide themselves in the rock and seeking the mountains to fall upon them because they say, the wrath of God has come, the wrath of the Lord has come upon us. Verses 12-14 of Revelation chapter 6 describe catastrophes like we read about here in verses 4. It says here in verse 4, the host of heaven shall be dissolved. We're talking about the stars.

The host of heaven, the stars will be dissolved. The heavens shall be rolled up like a scroll. Revelation 6.14 tells us the same thing. The sky will be rolled up like a scroll. There's going to be great cataclysmic events. He goes on to say, The host of heaven shall fall down, or their host shall fall down, as a leaf falls from the vine, as fruit falling from a fig tree. Revelation 6 tells us that the stars will fall to the earth. Ice falling.

Figs fall from a tree. The world is going to be in chaos. There's going to be incredible events. New Year's Ice. Great destruction. Over and over again through the Tribulation period, we see that a third of the earth, a third of the people in the earth are wiped out. The vegetation is destroyed. The water is ruined. Both salt water and fresh water. There's great calamities happening.

that are coming upon the earth. The just, righteous, and appropriate rock of God that's being poured out. And so that's what Isaiah is warning about. He says, come here, I want you to hear. Why does he want you to hear? Because he wants us to know that this is coming, that we might surrender ourselves to God, that we might commit to God, and that we would not rebel against Him any longer. Let's look at verses 5 through 7. He says...

So my sword shall be bathed in heaven. Indeed, it shall come down on Edom and on the people of my curse for judgment. The sword of the Lord is filled with blood. It is made overflowing with fatness, with the blood of lambs and goats, with the fat of the kidneys of rams. For the Lord has a sacrifice in Bajra and a great slaughter in the land of Edom.

Here in verses 5-7 now, God is giving an example of this destruction and pretty much throughout the rest of this chapter.

Although he made his initial call to all nations, but he didn't know what was going to happen, he singles out Mount Edom as an example of the best relation of destruction and judgment that will be taking place. Edom was Israel's neighbor. They were down southeast of the nation of Israel, the land of Israel. Edom was populated with the defendants of Esau. So remember Jacob and Esau.

Esau's descendants were the people of Edom. Jacob's descendants were the people of Israel, the nation of Judah, God's people there in the land of Israel. And so they go back there. They're distinctly related through Jacob and Esau. And yet Edom, although they were neighbors, although they were related to one another, Edom was always an enemy of Israel.

They continually fought against Israel and tried to take from Israel. They continually oppressed Israel when they had opportunity. In fact, later on in Israel's history, the book of Obadiah, the prophet Obadiah that accounts for us in verses 10-16 of Obadiah, that Edom rejoiced when Israel was finally taking tactic, when Judah was conquered by Babylon many years after Isaiah was writing these things. Edom rejoiced.

At Judah's destruction. They rejoiced and were glad when Babylon conquered Jerusalem. Not only did they rejoice, but they went and they plundered Jerusalem. So they went and they took the goods. They're like, hey, find it, they're out. And they can go. And it was kind of like, you know, what is it called when they riot and then they go and take all the things? What's that called?

Moody. It was kind of like moody. They're like, all right, they're finally gone. And so they went and were plundering the things that were left behind by the Jewish people, the inhabitants of Jerusalem, when they were taken captive by Babylon. Not only did they rejoice, not only did they plunder Jerusalem, but then they killed those who escaped. So the few who escaped Babylon and took off, the people of Edom, they tracked them down and put them to death.

And so Edom was very antagonistic against Judah, against the people of God, and so God uses them as an example. Just a small peek of what's going to happen, looking and focusing on this particular land, showing the judgment of God. And I can see here an interesting promise for us, that God remembers and will judge every person in every nation who persecutes his children.

Those who rejoiced at the suffering of God's people. Those who plundered or stole from God's people. Those who put into death. And we see that type of persecution take place around the world today and we'll continue to see it until the end times. And God will remember. He will repay. And judgment will be brought upon those who have treated His peoples in this way. And so we look at Edom and we see that they're going to be filled with blood.

The sword of the Lord is going to come down. Judgment and wrath is going to be poured out upon them. And they're going to be left desolate. Look at verse 8. He says,

the year of recompense for the cause of Zion. Its stream shall be turned into pitch, and its dust into brimstone. Its land shall become burning pitch. It shall not be quenched night or day. Its smoke shall ascend forever, from generation to generation. It shall lie waste. No one shall pass through it forever and ever. Verse 11. But the pelican and the porcupine shall possess it. Also the owl and the raven shall dwell in it.

Here as he goes on describing the nation of Edom at the time of the judgment of God, it's a nation that is now empty, filled with the stones of emptiness.

There's just going to be complete desolation. Why? It says in verse 8, it's the day of the Lord's vengeance. Vengeance. He's repaying now for all of the rebellion that had been taking place in the land of Eden. He's bringing justice to the land, bringing justice to the situation. He's bringing vengeance. Now, vengeance or revenge for you and I, it's something that we are strongly warned against.

We see words of wisdom, thoughts, and people encourage one another, hey, don't take revenge, revenge will eat you up and it won't satisfy you and so on and so forth. That's because vengeance doesn't belong to us. Deuteronomy chapter 32 verse 35, God pronounces, vengeance is mine, vengeance is the Lord's. He says, their foot shall slip in due time.

for the day of their calamity is at hand and the things to come hasten upon them god says look vengeance doesn't belong to you whatever people have done to you whether for your christian faith or for other reasons however they've abused you whatever injustices they've done towards you vengeance isn't yours god says vengeance is mine and we need to let god

have His vengeance. Not taking it into our own hands, but trusting God. He says, look, their foot shall slip in due time. In due time, again, God will bring judgment, but He delays so that there might be repentance.

And so in due time, it will take purpose. You don't have to take vengeance into your own hands because in due time, God will take care of the situation. Because the day of the calamity is ahead. In the same way that Edom mocked Judah and laughed and rejoiced when they were destroyed, but says, "Vengeance is mine." There will come a time, in due time, they will proceed what was right in vets, the penalty, the punishment,

for the things that they have done. So you and I must entrust vengeance to God. Not taking matters into our own hands, but trusting God to bring justice and righteousness to every situation.

So he says, the day of vengeance, which is the year of recompense, he's bringing judgment, bringing vengeance upon the land. And he goes on to describe in verse 9, saying, its streams shall be turned into pitch, and its dust into brimstone, its land shall become burning pitch. Pitch is, it's a word that describes unrefined oil. It's

something that exists there in the Middle East, in the land of Edom. Edom is present-day part of Jordan and Saudi Arabia. It's that whole region there next to Israel, which of course is where we have much of the oil reserves that are in the faith of the earth. Well, not so much, depending on who you talk to. But anyways, there's lots of oil there. And we know that a lot of oil comes out of the Middle East. But notice that it's going to be burning pitch oil.

And so during this destruction, during the judgment that God is pointing out, there's going to be great fires because its smoke will ascend there in verse 10.

But in generation to generation it shall lie waste. No one shall pass through it forever and ever. And for this land that was once made rich by the Pirate, is now going to be destroyed by it. It's going to become desolate and they're not going to be new and devoid. That's why in verse 11 he talked about all the animals, the pelican, the porcupine, the owl, the raven. All these animals are going to live there, but it's not going to be inhabited by humans any longer because of the judgment that's being poured out.

That's why there's no nobles in the kingdom. That's why there's no princes. In white town, God's judgment has been brought. Let's continue on verses 13 through 15. It's continuing on talking about Edom and how it's deathbed. He says in verse 13, And for them shall come up in its palaces, metals and brambles in its fortresses. It shall be a habitation of jackals, a courtyard for ostriches.

the wild beast of the desert shall also meet with the jackals and the wild goat shall bleat to its companion also the creature shall rest there and find for herself a place of rest there the earl-snake shall make the nest and lay eggs and hat and gather them under the shadow there also shall the hawks be gathered every one with her meat

So here again we see the picture, painting a picture for us, that we would understand how desolate the land is going to be when the judgment of God is put out. In their palaces, in their niceness homes, in their elegant paces, in the fields that they value the most, there's going to be thorns and nettles and bambles. It's just going to be completely abandoned, overrun with weeds, overrun with thorns, overrun.

with whatever grows up, with no one to take care of those properties, of those places, of those things that they once had that were so nice and wonderful. You go on to talk about all the different kinds of animals, the wild beast, the wild goat, the night creature, the air snake. It's just going to be inhabited by all of these animals, by these creatures that can survive there. But humans will not be there. It will be skittish because the judgment of God will be complete. And that's the thing that we need to remember.

God is trapped. He's going to bring back vengeance. In His right time, in due time, He's not quick, He's not anxious, because He wants to come to dependence. But there will come a time that judgment will be, that the vengeance will take place. And it will be complete, it will be thorough, there will be justice to every inductus that ever was. God will bring justice. It will take place. And it's going to be complete.

Verse 16 and 17, he says, Search on the book of the Lord and read. Not one of these shall fail.

Here in verse 16 and 17, we have some interesting words by the prophet Isaiah. Really, from the word through Isaiah. He says, "...search the book of the Lord and read."

A couple of things we've seen here. Isaiah knew as he was writing these things, as he was proclaiming these things, he knew that these words that he was bringing forth were not his own words, but the words of the Lord. This is the book of the Lord. These are the scriptures. They are God breathed as we'll see on Sunday as we look at 2nd chapter 3. They're inspired of God. He says, "...the book of the Lord, and read."

Not one of these shall fail. God's saying, look, when all of this comes to pass, when all these things take place, look through the Word. Look at the things that were written. Look at the prophecies that were made. And God is offering His guarantee that not one of these things will fail.

Everything that we've been reading throughout the book of Isaiah, as we've seen the prophecies, some of them we've already been fulfilled. And they were fulfilled exactly the way that they were described by the Lord through the prophet Isaiah. Some of them are yet to be fulfilled, but they will be fulfilled. Not one of them will fail. Even the little things, we can look at what the next one is, but he says, "Not one of thee shall fail." There in verse 16. And the next one he says, "Not one shall lack her mate."

What in the world are we talking about? Not one shall lack her mate. After saying, not one of these shall fail. Well, we're going to take you up to verse 15, going back one verse. The last part of verse 15 says, There also shall the hawks be gathered, every one with her mate. What's God saying? There in the land of Edom, when his judges is poured out, there will be all those animals, and in particular, the hawks will be gathered there,

And it's not just going to be one hawk. No, but there's going to be much. And everyone will have its mate. They're not going to be a dying species. They're not going to go extinct or have no offspring. No, but everyone will have its mate. Everyone will have the counterpart. The female and the male hawk will exist in the land of Eden. Everyone will have its mate, God says. And then he says, in proving this, he says, look,

When it happens, girl, look, not one of these things will fail. Not one shall lack her mate. God is promising that every detail of His word, of His promises, will be appropriate. Even to the, maybe we would consider minor detail of whether or not a hawk out in the desert has its name. But God says it's going to be fulfilled. Every little splatter.

Every little detail of God's word will be fulfilled, will be accomplished. Jesus said that in verse, Matthew chapter 5 verse 18, he says, God says every detail, every word, every letter, every part of the letter, every aspect of the word of God will be fulfilled.

That is how faithful and reliable the Word of God is. And that is why it's so important for us to take God's Word and live our lives by it. That's why it's so important for us to believe God of His Word. It means it will be fulfilled. Every detail. If you're like, well, you know, kind of like 90% will be fulfilled and, you know, there might be little things here and there that really don't work here.

No, we're not talking about man-made predictions. We're not talking about speculating by the authors of the Scripture. We're talking about God's promises. Here's the word. These things, the Scriptures, the Word of God, are God-breathed. They are His words that will come to pass. The blessings of God, the promises of God, the judgments of God, the wrath of God,

All of them will come to pass. Everything will be fulfilled. Even the little things that we might consider devout. God says, I will fulfill them. Not one. Let's go on to chapter 55.

"It shall blossom abundantly in the joys, even with glory and singing. The glory of Lebanon shall be given to it, the excellence of Carnav and Therin, which shall see the glory of her Lord, the excellency of our God." We go now from the message of judgment, the message of wrath that God is going to be bringing with the example of Eve. Now we go to the other side of the coin, or just beyond that lapse.

then the blessings of God will be poured out. The wilderness will be glad, the desert shall rejoice. There's going to be a lot of restoration in the wilderness. Although God's wrath is going to come, although the things are going to be left desperate, just as God said, there's going to be a time as well where God will restore. Immediately following the tribulation curve and all of this wrath is poured out upon the earth,

will be the Millennial Kingdom where Jesus Christ establishes His Ring and the earth will be restored and renewed and there will be a thousand years of wonderful plentiful growth and abundance as Jesus Christ reigned on the earth. But the wilderness, he says, will be God the Berserk, the Pride of Rejoice and Blossom as the Lord shall blossom abundantly and rejoice.

It's interesting, as we were going throughout Israel a couple of weeks ago, and we had the opportunity to go. The southern part of Israel is pretty different. It's a lot bigger.

But as we'd be jumping down, we'd be driving down, heading down south, and it's just desert, desert. We were driving an hour in the desert. All you see around you is dirt and sand. All of a sudden, like I had been aware, would be this little area that's just green and lefty and got huge trees and beautiful places. And the reason why is because there happened to be a little bit of water there.

What they were talking about, if you were there in Israel, is that the desert, although it's better, as soon as water is introduced to the land, it's abundant. The things flow like crazy, and it's very plentiful when water is brought to those areas out there in Israel that feel like they're dug in. And so when water was brought, the syrup is rich, and it produces much water.

In a human way, all the beautiful land that wilderness is, well, when Jesus Christ comes back, when He establishes His Kingdom, there's going to be a great river that goes forth from Jerusalem, and it's going to bring forth a diamond, sir, in the wilderness. There's going to be a great revival of the land.

God's earth is going to be restored. In Romans chapter 8, talks about this. Verses 19 to 22, Paul says that creation eagerly awaits.

Creation has been subject to a barbage because of non-kin. Creation even relates for the revelation of the sons of God, of the people of God, when God and the establishment of the kingdom, that creation can be set free and the earth will be restored. The glory that it had when God first created it, it will be restored back through times perhaps like the burden of keeping that Adam and Eve would experience.

And so Pastor Chep says, Hey, but I'm now in death and valley. Let's keep the desert. Death live is nothing. Because it's going to be beautiful. It's going to bring forth and blossom in the dirt with joy and singing. Chapter 35, he says, Strip in the weak hand and make firm the feeble knees. Say to those who are fearful-hearted, Be strong. Do not fear. Behold, your God will come with vengeance.

with the recompense of God who will come and save you. So I think it says, don't fear. Pray for those who are feeble-minded, for those whose strength is lacking, for those who are weak, and those who struggle and hate. With the note, go to them. Don't fear. God will repay. He's telling Judah, he's telling God's people, you're oppressed now. Give those experiencing the friction,

People are coming in a bunch of nations are attacking you. There's hard times, there's difficult days. But don't be discouraged. Don't be discouraged. It is God's vengeance that is coming. There will be restoration. God will make things right in His time. He will bring the evidence.

It's a promise that you will bring vengeance and along with that promise is do not fear. The encouragement to don't fear, but to go stubborn and keep trusting God, keep walking with the Lord. For the righteous, the vengeance of God is not a fearful thing because...

God already poured out the punishment for us upon Jesus Christ when he got upon the cross for us because we believed in Jesus Christ because we put a thick thing chest in him. There's no punishment for that. There's no punishment for the people of God because...

He's already taken prayer upon the cross. And so, for the people of Bethlehem, there's nothing to fear, nothing to be freaked out about, that the judgment of the wrath of God has come. No, we don't have to fear those things because our believers in Jesus have cut through and are appointed to them. But the people who need to fear God's repugnation and wrath is those who are in rebellion to God, trying to live according to their own ways, trying to ignore God's demands and

not be a dream to him. But for us, the rose of the Pope and Jesus Christ, we need to take comfort while the vengeance is coming. All of the injustices that we see, all of the things that are so long, that are so liquid, that are so vile in our generation, the things that are done for us oftentimes, or the things that we read about, the things that are put past, do not fear. Strengthen the feeble hands. Take them in videos that are leaked. Be strong.

Because God's vengeance is coming. You will lack in pence. You will pay. You will burn in justice. It's much like Paul said in Melchizedek 8:18. And he said, "I consider that the suffering in the present time will not worldly be compared with the glory that shall be revealed by us." He could be caught. Yeah, he suffered. Yeah, things are difficult. But God had so much that our needs instilled. If we do, the time did almost sear. Vengeance will come. God will make things right in His time, in the right season.

So be strong and do not fear." The verse 5: "Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped. Then the lame shall leap like a deer in the pond of the downed sea. For water shall burst forth in the wilderness and the streams of the desert. The parched ground shall become a pool, and the thirsty ground springs of water.

in the habitation of jackals, where each bird shall be grafted with reed and rushes." So, grandmother talking about that millennia of pre-indom. After that time of wrath, that seventh year period where God put back His judgment, He establishes this thing, and now the earth is renewed and it was stuck. There'll be no more infirmities. The eye of the blind will be opened, and the earth of the deaf will be unpropped. The lame will leap light or deep. There's going to be a restoration through humanity.

Rather than being sick of the infirmity that we experience and seem to be, but also to purify itself, the part now shall become plentiful. There's going to be grave streams. There's going to be greenery and grass and grass everywhere. You see?

The highway shall be there, as in a road, and it shall be called the highway of holiness. The unclean shall not pass over it, but it shall be for others, that is, those who are holy or those who are clean. Whoever walks the road or the pool shall not go astray. The lion shall be there, nor shall any ravenous beast go up on it.

Here in the morning meal reigns of Jesus Christ. The road is known to be called the highway of holiness.

People are going to do what's right. They're going to live by God's standards. Even the fools. Even those who don't know that much. Even those who believe in the rebellion against God. Because they shall not go through. They're not going to be villagers. The lion won't be there. There won't be ravenous beasts. There won't be those kinds of warriors. The redeemed of the Lord shall walk. What's going to be saved and secured. The ransom of the Lord shall return. So come, preside, and serve the everlasting joy.

"We shall obtain joy and gladness." And so although there is suffering now, although there is injustice now, although there is things that we fear, that aren't light, meeting ahead, God promises an everlasting joy.
