This conviction is the driving force behind my life and teaching. I have been blessed to be teaching the Bible for over 30 years, beginning when I was just 15 years old. This lifelong commitment is why my favorite subject—and the core of my ministry—is encouraging every believer to prioritize reading through the entire Bible. My passion for God's Word stems from early in my walk when I discovered that God reveals Himself through His Word. I’ve been honored to spend decades helping others experience that same life-changing power by teaching and equipping them with practical tools for reading and applying Scripture.

My Journey in Ministry

My journey with the Lord has been shared with my wonderful wife, Kim. We met at church over two decades ago and recently celebrated 21 years of marriage. Together, we had the incredible blessing of serving at Calvary Chapel Living Water for 19 years, where I held the role of Senior Pastor until 2023. In this new chapter, I have shifted to teaching the Bible occasionally as a guest speaker, delivering messages at various churches whenever invited.

FerventWord

FerventWord was birthed in my mind and heart in 2022 as a way to provide Bible study resources and tools to the body of Christ. Today, it operates as my hobby ministry. I don't know if God wants to do anything with it, but I enjoy writing the code and creating the various resources, drawing on my long history of sermon notes, teaching handouts, and deep research from over 30 years of teaching the Word of God.

When I'm not studying or creating resources for FerventWord, you can usually find me at work endeavoring to be a faithful employee, or at home with Kim and our crazy little dog Maui. Kim and I are grateful for God's faithfulness and presence in our lives. He has been with us in the most glorious and most painful seasons. His grace and work in us continue to shape our faith and ministry, filling our lives with purpose and praise.
